Me too ^^ It was kinda weird for me actually. About the same time I was introduced to Arashi, I had randomly found a song by SuJu that I was in love with ^^ I'm just glad someone else knows who Toma is ^^

Haha, I was into Arashi frist of all groups, and then i got inot News, KAT-TUN, ect and i was a JE fan exclusively for about 2 years, and then 2 years ago i started listening to tvxq and got into k-pop via their japanese work, even though Now my fav group is suju~

Toma adorable, even though i feel kinda bad for him. sure he gets to act, but he's passed over time and tome again for debut, first with M.A.I.N. with Aiba and MAtsujun and then with four Tops with Yamapi. even though he SAYS he likes acting, the whole point of joining JE is to debut in an idol group so i think deep down he's disappointed, at least a little.

Maybe, but he's a really good actor ^^ And I've only been a huge fan of k-pop/j-pop for about a year and a half, maybe two ^^ I work fast once I have something I really like ^^ I've dabbled in j-pop/j-rock stuff before though, so AFTER I started liking DBSK and The TRAX, I was looking up songs and such and I found a lot of stuff I had listened to before and it made me feel kinda stupid for not making the connections ^^

I'm a fairly old J-pop fan, about 9 years (i've been looking up artists and stuff form anime since i was ten, more than just listening to the songs i found music videos and everything, so i consider 10 years old to be the beginning, even though i listened to anime theme songs pretty much as long as i can remember) now, although I only got into JE 4 years ago, and asian boy bands in general maybe five years ago, with W-inds.

I know the feeling, some 8 years ago i downloaded this random korean song "Dreams Come true" by S.E.S and didn' realize it was korean, but i loved it. and then i got into K-pop and was like "OMG REALLY?! I didn't know that song was in korean!" XDD

And I've been a BoA fan for YEARS (Since she debuted actually, now that I think about it). I just never knew she was korean or did anything other than japanese stuff ^^

only if you looked up the artists who sand the theme songs BEYOND what they sang for Sailor moon XD, but OMG sailor moon~ how many people's first anime was that i wonder hahaha~

Boa~ I've liked Boa since inuyasha, and I've checked back in on her works from time to time, but i wouldn't have called me a fan.

I've been a Nami Tamaki, Namie Amuro, Koda Kumi, Ayumi Hamasaki, Utada Hikaru fan for years though haha~ they were the majority of my first year or 2 in j-pop fandom.

Of COURSE I know Utada hikaru, all the way back since "first love" hahaha~ I LOVE her I'm sad she's going on indefinite hiatus or whatever (i don't think she said "quit" right out, but its essentially the same thing) or at least thats what i've heard. I even bought her old english album "exodus 04" back when it first came out ahaha~

I loooove j-pop haha, i know a lot off j-pop artists, ven though i've been more preoccupied with K-pop lately.

Exactly!! But on the other hand, the few people I know that like both and know a good deal, don't like any other types of music. I'm pretty well rounded and still listen to american music as well.

I'm afraid I fall into that category as well... I mean I LIKE american music, bu i only really listen to it when i'm bored of asian music XD, but as far as american music goes, i'm pretty well rounded, I listen to most everything, from pop, to rock, to country, to rap (occasionally), to dance, to everything, all though I'm far more picky, more of a "I like this song, and that song" rather than a "I like this artist", and i'm almost always listening to asian music anyway, so i'm not toooo in touch with whats going on in the american music scene. basically if it doesn't get played on the "top 40" stations i don't listen to it,as most of my rock and country i listen to is from a ew years ago, when i wasn't QUITE as asian music obessed.

it grows over time you know. that first 2,3, even fours years you'll still listen to american music, but eventually you find yourself listening non-stop to the Asian stuff. here I am, 9 years into J-pop and 13 years into anime fandom and I'm pretty.... out of touch with most american stuff, be it movies, tv, music, whatever.

That's actually pretty much how I am now about all the music, almost everything is korean or japanese. But I have my favorite bands that I keep listening to, also I'm not really allowed to have that much asian stuff roaming around my house so I don't really have much of a choice with the "keeping in touch" with american stuff. XP

my family doesn't like it either, so i'm usually playing my ipod with head phones, although my family can't stop me from singing along to the asian where they can hear, XD. and since i can drive and have my own car, i don't have to listen to in the car unless i want to, and here in my college dorm, they aren't around to make me listen so i'm a little a outta touch right now XD

Yeah, once I move out it'll probably be like that for me ^^ I'm curently in the process of getting my own car and I go back to college hopefully in fall. I was taking a chort break so I could pack away some funds ^^
